Volunteer Time!
The “C” in CSA
stands for “Community, and there’s no better way to build it than to work
together.
Each season there
are plenty opportunities to get involved, whether it is unloading the truck,
signing up for a shift at the CSA site, or working at the annual October Harvest
Festival. Of course, you can always help
out by sending recipes in for the newsletter!
For more ways to pitch
in, contact your local site manager or call Rachel at 518-672-4465 x 105.

our hard labor. From seeing Jenna in
For me, seeing a
friendly face was only a part of the relationship, though. I realized early on

looked forward to.

to begin training for becoming the next herdsman of the dairy cows at Hawthorne
Valley Farm. This job will involve the milking and care of our 60 dairy cows
and many more young stock and beef animals. I am looking forward to my new job
but I will certainly miss being an intimate part of the CSA. Dante Hesse will
take over from me and I’m sure he will do fine. Dante comes to us by way of
Thank you all for a
great year and a half and see you at the farm! Dan
