Water Use Plan for Hawthorne Valley

There is a variety of activities that we are involved in that don't conveniently fit into a single category. In one way or another, all of these have to do with our local landscape and the people who live and work on it. The Farmers' Research Circle is a small group of local farmers whom we help facilitate; meetings involve the discussion of shared themes of interest and the design and execution of a small research program. The Food Miles work involves illustrating the geographic extent of our food's connections; while our connection to NYC is obvious to all of us who live here, that connection may not be so conspicuous to those who live in the City - this program is meant to help illustrate that connection. The Place-Based data our meant to help those interested in teaching more about our home place - Hawthorne Valley. Finally, the Water Plan is a recently-started undertaking to create a Valley-wide water use plan.
